Pauline S. Cardaro "Polly"
Polly Cardaro, age 86 of Gaithersburg, formerly of Rockville, MD passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas V. Cardaro. Loving mother of Linda C. Sciuto and her husband Tino and Thomas C. Cardaro and his wife Sue. Devoted grandmother of Cristina, Giacomo and Giuliana Sciuto, Tom, Emily and Amy Cardaro.
A native farm girl from Weston, WV, Polly traveled to Washington, DC in 1942 to work for the U.S. Treasury Department. In 1949 she met and wed Tom Cardaro, a long distance truck driver. They were married for 51 years before Tom's death in 2000. Polly enjoyed gardening, reading, writing and being active in the lives of her children. Always with a smile on her face, she was the sunshine of our lives. Her family was her pride and joy.
