Barbara Vickers McAuliffe, Age 76
On Wednesday, July 14, 2010 of Germantown, Maryland. Beloved wife for 55 years of John F. McAuliffe; mother of John Michael and Mary Kathryn McAuliffe; grandmother of Hannah Marie and Margaret Ann Shows, John Chesapeake and Kathryn Mercedes McAuliffe.
After Barbara came to Washington DC area from Mount Hope, West Virginia she enjoyed employment in the Pentagon as secretary to the Surgeon General of the Air Force, later with Operations Research of Johns Hopkins University and secretary for Dr. Nirupma Rohatgi. Barbara was a charter member of the Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church.
