Aunt Polly always had a smile on her face and we will miss her very much. Now we have to remember the good times we shared when she came to visit. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

Dear Linda, Tino & family,
What a blessing to have known your mother as we were growing up through elementary and middle school. She always opened her home with cheer to allow noisy teenage girls have many sleepovers. She taught us such unconditional love. Such wonderful memories to hold onto of Mrs. Cardaro's warm smiles and hugs. Much love to you all and prayers that God will hold you and comfort you through this and always. Love, Carol

Dear Polly,
We will always remember sitting with you on summer nights while Giacomo, Cristina, Giuliana and Shane played. Those were some of the best summer nights we will ever remember and treasure. You made us happy every time we met. You always made everyone feel special, even my sister who came to visit us on Abbott Road. We feel very lucky to have met you.
Rest in Peace and say hello to Tom for us.
Love, the Hendrys

Dear Linda,Tommy and families,
It was a joy to know your mother and father. We had many good times talking about our home town, Weston, WV and our mutual friends. We enjoyed their 50th wedding anniversary celebration April 10, 1999 too.
When loved ones walk into the sunset
And wave a last good-bye,
And sorrow's shadows deepen, And each smile becomes a sign;
What a comfort and a solace
That for them life's trials are done;
Eternal joy awaits them just beyond the setting sun. (Author unknown)
"Well done,thou good and faithful servant...enter thou into the joy of the Lord." Matthew 25:21

Dear Mom,
When I met Linda I knew she was special. What I only found out after meeting you, is how much of what makes her special comes from you.
I have known you for 24 years. From the first day you have made living away from my mother much easier. Even when I barely spoke English your smiles, kisses and hugs made me immediately feel loved. As my English improved and was able to carry out a conversation we started getting to know each other better. I remember how much you wanted to really know about my life in Italy. You wanted to know about my parents, siblings, relatives, friends and places. After the sudden passing of your beloved Tom you gave me the best present a son-in-law can hope for. You decided to visit my birth place in Italy. You really wanted to know me and went all the way to Italy to do that. You brought so much happiness to everyone you met and even people that just heard about your visit are still talking about you.
You have been an example of how to enjoy life to the fullest. As your body started to get weaker you never complained or slowed down. You always had a word of encouragement for everyone. There was no putting down of anyone or anything for Polly. I am lucky to have shared half of my life with such a special person. You raised two wonderful children. They have so many of your wonderful gifts. Sue and I are grateful for that. We all have wonderful memories of you. The kids loved playing with you and you with them. You never said no to play with your grandkids. You were never too tired to play.
You will be greatly missed by everyone. You have touched so many lives. Even in the last years at Asbury you always sought new friendships and found many. Not even the wheelchair slowed you down.
I personally thank you and dad for all you have done for Linda and I. What I have accomplished is thanks to your support. You let us stay in the house in Twinbrook and babysat the kids so I could study. You followed my progress in school all the way to my graduation. After I went to work I shared every raise and promotion with you. You and dad made me feel so proud of my accomplishments and I am so grateful to you for that.
Last Saturday you gave us the last gift. You looked at all of us around you for the last time and shared a smile. The next day you went to join your dear Tom, your sister and brother and all your loved ones who have waited for you to be ready to join them.
I am sure you understand how sad we all are not to be able to kiss you or take you for a drive anymore. We will miss your poems, your saying grace before sharing meals. We will continue to celebrate your life. You have taught us that the glass is always half full, to appreciate what we have, that life is always worth living and to keep on smiling.
Thanks for all you have given me. With great love your son-in-law

Dear Tom, Sue, and all your family,
Although I only met your Mother once or twice, Tom, it's obvious that she was a very special person. I have heard some sweet stories from Kenny about fishing trips and such. Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you all in this difficult time. Love, Gina, Kaitlyn & Jessica

Linda and Tommy what a wonderful mother you had Polly was one of the sweetest ladie's I know. Untill this day every time it rain's I wished I was under Polly's awning. When I lived on Abbott Rd as a child whenever it rained that's where I would be what a wonderful sound. Your Mom was every kid's second Mom on Abbott Rd all the memories I will cherish. God Bless you and your family's at this time. Love all of you Soozie

Dear Tom, Linda and families, The passing of Polly is a great loss for all of us. Polly always filled her days with happiness and cheer. Her mission in life was to always help everyone around her either with a kind word or gesture of good will. Polly is truly one of a kind. Love the Brock's
